Whoa.

So, it’s been kind of a crazy week.

On Monday, I found out that the text for my new picture book is now final. Sweeter words were never spoken by an editor to an author! I’ll let the ole cat out of the bag now and tell you that it’s called (for now, at least) Let’s Mind Our Manners, it will be illustrated by the astonishingly talented Lorelay Bove, and it will be pubbed by Disney in 2013.

On Tuesday, I showed you pics of my newly-renovated kitchen; thanks for the very kind responses, which I have shared with my handy husband.

And then, on Wednesday, a little something appeared in The New York Times about Mr. Prickles. If you haven’t heard about it yet, allow me share the finer points: The New York Times acknowledges my existence! And seems to have a thing for porcupines!

Yesterday, I got some great news about some upcoming events. All of this is also posted on my “Events and Appearances” page, but I can’t help crowing about it here and now:

Saturday, February 4 at 1pm: Scott Magoon and moi will be appearing at Porter Square Books for a reading and signing of our books AND a special craft project in honor of Mr. Prickles — Make Your Own Prickly Love Notes!

Saturday, February 11 at 7am: I’ll be a guest on the Reading with Robin radio show (station 920AM). Tune in to hear me talk about my books, writing, and of course LOVE.

Saturday, February 11 at 1pm: I’ll be appearing at The Blue Bunny for a reading and signing, and more Prickly Love Note making!

You’ll excuse me if I just take it easy today — I’m still processing all this goodness. And as it’s Friday the 13th, I’m not going to press my luck!

So, how was your week? Anything exciting happen?
